The event-app teambits:interactive allows you to inform yourself about an event and to participate in an Event with your own contributions This data is stored digitally, both on your device, as well as on the Event-Server.
The use of teambits:interactive by you, is fundamentally possible without any personal data being processed by us.
The App stores data on your device between, in particular, so that they are available for a subsequent start of the App again, even if the server is not available at startup.
When starting the App, a unique identification number (UUID) is generated and stored on the device to identify it as a device already known to the system at the next launch.
The data stored in the memory of your device include, for example, received text messages, form inputs or not yet sent to the server messages.
This information will remain on your device until you clear the App’s cache or uninstall the App.
To enable your device to communicate with the server, the app transmits additional data to the Server on your device, in addition to the App’s identification number (UUID). Unless you enter personal information into the App (for example, enter or select your name), it is not possible to draw any conclusions about yourself based on the identification number and other data provided.
In addition to the IP address of the device, this also includes information about the type of device you are using and the operating system you are using on the device in order to be able to adjust the appearance and function of the app to your device.
This data remains stored on the Server until the end of the retention period of the event data. The storage period of the event dates is determined by the organizer.
The core benefit of the app is to facilitate exchanges between participants and between participants, directors, moderators and promoters. Your input will be sent to the server, which will process it further and distribute it accordingly. (For example, voting charts are visible to everyone.)
Examples of data you enter into the App are questions you’ve posted, ideas, answers to free text questions, questionnaires you’ve completed, or your vote. For example, if you vote, your vote will be sent to the event server. This calculates your vote with the remaining votes cast to a result, which will then be visible to all.
Duration of storage
This data remains stored on the server until the end of the retention period of the Event data. The storage period of the Event dates is determined by the organizer.
teambits:interactive contains text fields that allow you to enter free text and, as a rule, personal data in the text field. Data is processed as detailed above. If you do not want your personal data to be processed appropriately, please avoid entering personal data yourself.
In addition, the name of your device (specified by you or your system administrator) may be used by a network administrator to identify the person using the device (for example, if clear names such as “Otto’s iPhone” are used as device names ) – but only if combined with the information from teambits:interactive and analyzed together. As a rule, this information is stored separately and can only be read by different groups of people. Ask your local network administrator and rename your device if the name of your device may allow you to identify the person using the device and you have concerns about it.
